Andrew Shayne

Mr. Shayne has 30 years of experience in investments and finance.  During his career, Mr. Shayne has been involved in the origination, underwriting, structuring, placement, and investment of over $500 million in corporate finance transactions which included debt and equity financings for both private and publicly-listed companies.  Mr. Shayne most recently started his own investment hedge fund (Coastline Investment Fund) that invests strictly in option strategies and has made an annualized return of approximately 10% per annum since December 2008.   He served as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Group for PEMGROUP from January 2007 through August 2009.  PEMGROUP was a private equity fund where Mr. Shayne was responsible for originating, closing, and managing all corporate finance transactions.

Prior to joining the Corporate Finance Group in January 2007, Mr. Shayne was the President and Co-founder of Los Angeles-based investment bank Coastline Capital Partners.  Mr. Shayne also worked at Reedland Capital Partners, a boutique investment banking firm, as Managing Director from 1997 through 2002.    He was the primary individual responsible for creating and building the debt side of the corporate finance business at both investment banking firms.   Mr. Shayne has extensive experience in originating, structuring, and pricing all types of financing transactions including, but not limited to, bridge financing, senior debt, mezzanine debt, junior secured debt, convertible debt, preferred stock, and common stock transactions.   He has a proven track record of providing financial advice to various companies including structuring and reorganizing company balance sheets, creating innovative financial solutions, and delivering transaction financing to industries ranging from technology to healthcare.    Mr. Shayne was President and Chief Financial Officer of a wholesale distributor of electronics and appliances from 1989 through 1997.    Mr. Shayne increased company revenues from $3 million to over $45 million in sales over a 5-year period.

Mr. Shayne was also the Director of Internal Audit for Countrywide Credit Industries from 1987 until 1989.  At Countrywide, he was primarily responsible for internally auditing Countrywide’s business divisions.   He worked as a certified public accountant (CPA) with Ernst and Whinney from 1982 through 1985, and Collett and Levy until 1987 specializing in tax, audit, and business management. Mr. Shayne is a Registered Investment Adviser, a Series 24 securities principal, a California CPA and licensed real estate broker. Mr. Shayne received his BS in Business Administration and Economics from California State University Northridge, majoring in Accounting and graduating with honors.
